"Intended to come here for a quick dinner before drinks and ended up staying for the vibes and more drinks. Shoutout to Jay for the free beer! Maru's better than a lot of restaurant-bars I’ve been to in Seoul- the food is perfectly seasoned, without being salty. Friendly staff were very welcoming and attentive from the second we sat down. It’s a great place to fill my Korean cravings and to have Makgoelli at the end of the week. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu!"

"Came across this restaurant while searching for highly rated places near PMQ. The reviews didn't disappoint. We ordered a mix of personal favorites, what others online tried, and what we saw people eating at other tables. Usually, you get disappointed with one or the other, but everything turned out well and perfectly seasoned. The seafood pajeon was light and crispy! The jjajangmyeon was on the subtly sweeter side, which I liked. The chicken was perfection and on a really hot and humid evening, the cold noodles hit the spot. Really wish we had room in our stomachs for more (or that we had more time in Hong Kong)! 10/10 would return. P.S. Props to the amazing service. Thank you so much to Jay in particular for really taking care of us and for being so accommodating when we inquired about tables earlier in the day. Good vibes here all the way!"

"Five star experience without a doubt. Spectacular food. Great service. Waiter was so friendly and even gave me a steam rice complementary. I ordered infamous fried chicken half portion very crunch and tasty, especially with three sauces they bring. I’m glad I ordered half because even that was big. Then I ordered Bulgogi, which was also yummy. I had hard time to finish all but I took my time and saero soju also helped. Something to consider, I went there without reservation so had to come back after 40 minutes."
